Campaign Story
The Evangelical Fellowship of Zimbabwe (EFZ) is an umbrella body that represents over 932 Evangelical and Pentecostal Church denominations as well as para-Church groupings translating to over 4.5million individual members and was formed in 1962. The organization operates under five Commissions namely: Commission for Ministry Development, Humanitarian Relief and Development Commission, Gender and Development Commission, Peace and Justice Commission and the Research and Development Commission.
Through her 5 Commissions, the Fellowship has been able to proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by speaking for and with the poor, weak and vulnerable in matters that affect their social, spiritual, physical, political and economic well-being. The organization has a national structure that allows it to operate from anywhere in Zimbabwe. One of the main interventions in the past decade has been enhancement of communities’ access to water, sanitation and hygiene solutions across the entire country of Zimbabwe through harnessing springs, drilling new boreholes, rehabilitating non-functional boreholes, constructing piped water systems and hygiene & sanitation promotion.
